This merino wool shawl is handwoven by Friendly Export - a small studio in Kathmandu, Nepal, working with local artisans using time-honoured techniques and ultrafine merino yarns.

The fibres are among the softest in the world - just 17.5 microns or less - so fine that only four shawls can be woven in a day. The soft blue tone brings a sense of stillness and simplicity - cool, clean, and deeply wearable through all seasons.

The blue tone is created using indigo - a plant-based dye that give the fabric a sea-like richness, both grounding and elegant.

wash & care

Merino is breathable and doesn’t trap odors like many other fabrics — which means you can wear it many times between washes.

If needed, hand wash gently in cold or lukewarm water (max 20°C) with a mild detergent.
Avoid soaking for too long. Gently press to rinse — do not twist.
Lay flat to dry in the shade.
